Join us for the very first all-inclusive Golden Getaway at our Senior 55+ Overnight Camp!


Experience the joy of classic camp activities—yard games, arts & crafts, hiking, outdoor environmental education, indoor pickleball, morning chair yoga and cozy campfires—all designed with adults 55 and over in mind.
Your registration fee includes all meals and snacks and dormitory-style lodging in the historic Camp Casey barracks on Whidbey Island. Each room features two single beds. Shared bathrooms are located on each floor. You can request a roommate during registration, or we’ll pair you with someone of the same gender. Register by August 25th to receive a special camp T-shirt, commemorating this very first camp of its kind!

What is Senior Overnight Camp?

Senior Camp provides the opportunity for seniors to strengthen relationships, meet new friends, and have time to de-stress and reset all while getting to experience the great outdoors! Senior Camps provide an full program schedule of activities, all of which are optional, so that once you arrive at camp, we take care of the rest while you enjoy your time with friends and in nature.

What are the rates for Senior Overnight Camp?
$260 for YMCA members. $285 for non-members.
All dues must be paid by August 25th. Any registrations completed after that date, must be paid in full at time of registration.
What is included during Senior Overnight Camp?
Senior Overnight Camp includes all meals, lodging, and a full schedule of activities from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Activities are led by our trained Y Staff and include but are not limited to Arts and Crafts, Swimming, Indoor and Outdoor Pickleball, Campfire, Outdoor Environmental Education, S’mores and more! A reminder that you can participate in as many, or as few, activities as you’d like.
When is check-in and check-out?
Check in is from 4-6pm September 16th
Check out 11am September 18th
Who typically attends Senior Overnight Camp?
Any folks 55 and up who want to attend camp!
How are cabins assigned?
There will be a roommate request form in registration, otherwise roommates are assigned by gender preference.
What type of health/medical care is available?
YMCA staff are CPR and First Aid certified; however, participants are responsible for their own health/medical care while at Senior Camp. Camp will supply basic first aid supplies. Members are to supply their own over the counter and prescription medications.
Is Camp ADA Accessible?
No, Camp Casey is more than 100 years old. Although we do our best to accommodate special needs, we ask that participants are able to comfortably climb one flight of stairs.
What are your payment and cancellation policies?
A non-refundable $100 per person deposit is due at the time of registration.
Payment must be received by the YMCA one month prior to the first day of the camp session, or the camper will be removed from the camp roster and the original deposit will be forfeited.
For your convenience, our system will prompt you to schedule future payments automatically at the time of registration.
For cancellations or transfers, we require written notice at least one month prior to the start of the camper’s session. Refunds will be given as a YMCA credit when applicable based on the schedule below:
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Refund Requested One Month Prior to Camp: Deposit is forfeited / 100% of any additional payments issued as Account Credit
  • Refund Requested Less than One Month Prior to Camp: Deposit is forfeited / 0% of any additional payments issued as Account Credit.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes! Sliding scale financial assistance options are available to ensure everyone has an opportunity to experience the Y. To learn more, we invite you to submit an Access for All Worksheet online or at the Y.
Do I have to be a YMCA member to register?
No, you do not have to be a YMCA member to register for Senior Camp. However, Y members save $25 per person at Senior Overnight Camp. To explore Y membership options, visit this page. When registering for Camp online, you may be prompted to select a membership type. To register for Camp without joining as a Y member, select the membership type, “Non-Member”. This membership type will add no cost to your purchase.
Is transportation available?
Yes, at an additional cost. Buses will depart from the Stanwood-Camano YMCA, Mill Creek YMCA, and Everett YMCA at 2:30 PM on September 16th, and will return to those same branches at 1:00 PM on September 18th. Please select the branch that is most convenient for you. Round-trip cost is $30 per person.
