Group Lessons
Preschool Group Lessons are for swimmers ages 3-5
As the largest provider of swim lessons in the country, there’s no one more qualified than the Y to ensure swimmers build confidence with every stroke. Welcoming kids and adults of all ages and abilities, our program offers a clear progression track to monitor achievement while every lesson emphasizes personal safety around water.
Lesson Pricing
Registration includes eight 30- or 45-minute lessons during reserved time in your Y’s pool. Determine your lesson level here.

Program Components
Certified Y instructors foster a safe, educational, and FUN environment where swimmers feel empowered to meet and exceed their goals. Safe swimming saves lives.
Swim Basics (Stages 1-3)
Students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning two benchmark skills:
* Swim, float, swim – sequencing front glide, roll, back float, and exit.
* Jump, push, turn, grab
Swim Strokes (Stages 4-6)
Having mastered the fundamentals, students learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, developing skills that prevent chronic disease, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity.
Refund Policy:
- Full refund granted if written request made 24 hours prior to first lesson.
- 50% if written request is made less than 24 hours prior to start of first lesson.
- No refund available if request is made during or after the first lesson. Even if child does not attend.
Priority Registration Guidelines:
To be eligible for priority registration, participants must have an active registration in the current session. During Priority Registration siblings do have the ability to register, even if they were not enrolled in the previous session. In order to register a sibling please reach out to [email protected] for a request.

This stage helps children develop comfort with underwater exploration and how to safely exit a body of water in the case of falling in. It is designed for new swimmers and lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.
In this session we offer a complimentary KidZone Drop Off to qualifying Family Memberships.
How does this benefit work?
Drop your swim lesson participant off in KidZone up to 1 hour before their swim lesson start time.
KidZone attendant will walk your child down to their swim lesson.
Requirement for this program is:
-Family Membership
-Pick up your child promptly at the end of lesson
-Drop off child with their swimsuit under their clothes
Important Information:
-KidZone staff still do not perform diapering changes
-KidZone staff do not monitor children in the bathroom if a potty break is needed.

Stage 2: AM Weekday Sessions
This stage helps children develop comfort with underwater exploration and how to safely exit a body of water in the case of falling in. It is designed for new swimmers and lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.
In this session we offer a complimentary KidZone Drop Off to qualifying Family Memberships.
How does this benefit work?
Drop your swim lesson participant off in KidZone up to 1 hour before their swim lesson start time.
KidZone attendant will walk your child down to their swim lesson.
Requirement for this program is:
-Family Membership
-Pick up your child promptly at the end of lesson
-Drop off child with their swimsuit under their clothes
Important Information:
-KidZone staff still do not perform diapering changes
-KidZone staff do not monitor children in the bathroom if a potty break is needed.

Stage 3: AM Weekday Sessions
This stage helps children develop comfort with underwater exploration and how to safely exit a body of water in the case of falling in. It is designed for new swimmers and lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.
In this session we offer a complimentary KidZone Drop Off to qualifying Family Memberships.
How does this benefit work?
Drop your swim lesson participant off in KidZone up to 1 hour before their swim lesson start time.
KidZone attendant will walk your child down to their swim lesson.
Requirement for this program is:
-Family Membership
-Pick up your child promptly at the end of lesson
-Drop off child with their swimsuit under their clothes
Important Information:
-KidZone staff still do not perform diapering changes
-KidZone staff do not monitor children in the bathroom if a potty break is needed.
