Child Abuse Prevention

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and our YMCA is joining with YMCAs all across the country to take action and raise awareness about how to prevent child sexual abuse.

At the Y, the safety and protection of children and teens in our care is our top priority. The YMCA requires reference checks and conducts both state and national background checks on all new employees. Employees are also required to attend annual training in Child Abuse Prevention. If you have questions about our child protection policies and practices, please contact your Branch Executive or Child Care Director. Thank you for joining us in raising awareness to keep kids safe this April and always!
