In order to ensure the safety of our members and staff, the YMCA of Snohomish County facility branches (Everett, Marysville, Monroe, Mukilteo, and Southeast) may be closed in the event of an emergency or severe weather. The YMCA facility closure procedure is as follows:
- The YMCA will place facility and program announcements on our recorded telephone greeting by 5 a.m. and throughout the day as needed. We encourage members to call their local YMCA prior to visiting.
- Facility closures will be contingent upon the changing weather conditions that day. In the event of severe weather, your local YMCA facility branch may adjust its hours. Call your local branch for specific information.
- Your local YMCA will make every attempt to ensure organized programs such as group exercise; massage, swim lessons, and child watch activities will run provided that there is appropriate qualified staffing.
If you should have any questions regarding our Severe Weather Procedures, please feel free to contact your Member Service Director at your local YMCA. The YMCA of Snohomish County will make every attempt to adhere to this procedure, but reserves the right to close its facilities at any time, based on the severity of the weather and road conditions.
If you have children in YMCA Child Care Programs, please review the separate Child Care Severe Weather Policy.
