The Norcliffe Foundation recently awarded the YMCA of Snohomish County a $1.5M grant in support of the Everett Family YMCA capital campaign. This gift represents the full amount of the YMCA Norcliffe request and is the second largest gift to the campaign (only behind the State of Washington grant). The grant award brings the total amount raised to $8.6M on a $15M campaign fundraising goal.

This Welcoming Week, taking place Sept. 18–24, 2017, the YMCA of Snohomish County will join Welcoming America and hundreds of YMCAs and other organizations nationwide in hosting events to celebrate immigrants’ contributions to communities and bring together all residents in a spirit of unity. Welcoming Week activities are open to the public and vary by branch location.

Isrrael “Izzy” Munoz, 16, is starting his junior year at Cascade High School. He volunteered as a leader at Code Teen at the YMCA this summer. Code Teen is a free afternoon camp with a focus on college and careers.
