Senior Aerobics
This class includes warming up, stretching, strength training, and gentle continuous movement activities.
Personal Pace
An energetic yet gentle class ideal for active older adults, beginning exercisers, or those who need injury rehabilitation. This format offers low impact aerobic activity and light strength training using balls, tubing, hand weights and callisthenic exercises. This class also offers an enjoyable social atmosphere, evident not only during class, but in special events, such as pot-lucks and field trips shared by the group.
Yoga for Seniors
Yoga modified to address seniors' health and wellness needs using a chair for balance and stability. Participants will be encouraged to work at their own pace and ability.
SilverSneakers® I – Muscular Strength
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. This program is free to Group Health members 65 years of age or older with both Medicare A & B.
SilverSneakers® II – Cardio Circuit
Combine fun and wellness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercise.
